China's November trade shrinks despite smaller drop in imports

CHINA trade continued to shrink in November but imports showed some signs of improvement, customs figures showed, suggesting domestic economic conditions could be improving.

In US dollar terms, exports last month fell by 6.8 per cent to reach US$197.2 billion, while imports dropped by 8.7 per cent to US$143.1 billion, the 13th consecutive month of decline. That is narrower than the 18.8 per cent slump in October.
