CONSUMER prices continued to fall 0.6 per cent year-on-year in January, unchanged from December, according to latest statistics on the Singapore consumer price index released by the government.
Inflation from services came down to 0.5 per cent in January from 0.9 per cent a month earlier, largely due to a slower pace of increase in education services fees and holiday travel costs.
Car prices fell more sharply, offset by higher food and retail goods inflation.
A measure of core inflation was 0.4 per cent in January, up slightly from 0.3 per cent last December.
