Deferred prosecution agreements proposed for certain corporate offences: Shanmugam

DEFERRED prosecution agreements (DPAs) - a legal tool used in the Keppel O&M Brazil corruption case - could be offered in Singapore to corporations as long as they comply with specific requirements, Minister for Home Affairs and Law K Shanmugam announced on Monday during a dialogue with lawyers.

The framework, which would cover certain corporate offences, is one of several proposed amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and Evidence Act.
