DHL Express invests 60 million euros in sorting facility in Kuala Lumpur International Airport
The DHL Express Kuala Lumpur Gateway is thrice the size of its predecessor and can handle four times the volume of shipments
[KUALA LUMPUR] DHL Express on Monday (Oct 28) announced an investment of 60 million euros (S$85.7 million) in a fully automated sorting system for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia.
This facility, named the DHL Express Kuala Lumpur Gateway (KL Gateway), is touted as the first of its kind in South-east Asia and aims to enhance cross-border shipping capabilities.
Julian Neo, managing director of DHL Express Malaysia and Brunei, said the facility is three times larger than its predecessor, and can handle four times the volume of shipments.
