FROM the start of April, the elderly in Singapore will have more flexibility in the use of their Medisave.

Announced by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong on Sunday, a new scheme known as Flexi-Medisave will allow those aged 65 years and above to use up to S$200 of Medisave a year for medical treatments at specialist outpatient clinics in public hospitals, polyclinics, and clinics that are under the Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS).
