IMDA announces time allocations for broadcasts
FROM July 3 to July 7, Singaporeans will be able to watch political candidates speak during prime time on TV, with the special broadcasts arranged for the various constituencies scheduled to run from 7pm on these days.
Two party political broadcasts will also be aired during this general election, on July 2 and on July 9.
Potong Pasir candidates release manifestos
THE Singapore People's Party (SPP) is proposing that Potong Pasir be a "silver-friendly" and green town. In a manifesto for the single-seat ward, the party's candidate Jose Raymond said that he wants to improve access to mental health and disability support for residents, and to work with partners to provide seniors with jobs to keep them active, among other proposals.
The People's Action Party's candidate Sitoh Yih Pin rolled out his team's plans, promising a polyclinic and an activity hub for residents within the next five years, and vowing to deliver programmes such as digital-skills upgrading for the middle-aged and senior residents.
