Embroiled in 'Sleazegate', Johnson's government at risk of losing next UK general election
Voters furious about mounting scandal, coupled with declining economy, rising inflation, taxes, Covid numbers
London
A NEW poll indicates that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative government is at risk of losing the next general election, due to be held by May 2024, as scores of voters remain furious about a mounting scandal over lawmakers getting paid for external jobs.
The so-called "Sleazegate" could not have erupted at a worse time. The UK's economic growth is sliding, inflation is accelerating, taxes are going up, and Covid-19 cases are rising despite a higher rate of vaccinations.
