EMISSION standards for new motorcycles will be raised from 2018, as Singapore seeks to reduce air pollution from industries and vehicles, said Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli on Tuesday.
Large motorcycles with engine capacity of more than 200cc will have to comply with the Euro 4 standard from Jan 1, 2018; smaller motorcycles with engines of 200 cc and under will need to do so from 2020.
