Energy at the frontline of global economic war caused by Russia-Ukraine crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin has started a global war, although it's likely to be an economic one for the foreseeable future.

Already, dozens of Ukrainian troops have died in bitter fighting, and casualties may soon be counted in the hundreds. Putin sounded like an autocrat bent on war when he cited the century-old Bolshevik recognition of Ukraine as a wrong to be corrected, in an angry tirade on Monday to justify his actions.

In his response a day later, US President Joe Biden made it clear that American troops would not join the battle unless Russia breaches NATO territory bordering Ukraine.
