Eurozone consumer confidence rises to -8.5 in Jan

    [BRUSSELS] Eurozone consumer confidence rose by 2.4 points to -8.5 in January figures released by the European Commission showed on Thursday.

    The Commission said a flash estimate showed that consumer confidence in the wider, 28-nation European Union also rose by 1.7 points to -5.8.
