Eurozone trade surplus increases last December

THE Eurozone international trade in goods was expected to witness a surplus of 24.3 billion euros (S$37.6 billion) in December 2014, up from 21.2 billion euros in November, the statistical office of the European Union (EU) Eurostat said on Monday.

Compared with previous month, seasonally adjusted exports fell by 1.1 per cent and imports by 2.4 per cent in the eurozone.
