Fibre broadband outage in some areas of Sengkang

SOME households in Sengkang experienced fibre broadband outage on Friday after a portion of Singapore's underground fibre optic network was cut by a contractor in Ang Mo Kio.
The incident took place early Friday morning at 12.10am when a third-party contractor of the Public Utilities Board (PUB) was performing drainage and sewage works along the Central Expressway and Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 junction, said NetLink Trust.
Restoration service has commenced, and service is expected to be restored by 11am.
NetLink Trust said it is working with all relevant parties to ensure that the service is restored at the affected areas as soon as possible.
