EVEN with a deadly disease from Wuhan casting a pall over the aviation sector, Chris Pok, chief executive of Singapore Airlines' KrisShop retail arm, is counting his lucky stars.
That's because the national carrier has doubled down on e-commerce efforts since joint venture KrisShop was launched in late 2018, he said, calling online shopping "a new sales channel" for an airline business that had hitherto focused on in-flight sales.
