Five months on, Brexit hurting both UK and EU businesses

Q1 trade between UK and EU down 23%, compared with 0.8% with the rest of the world

    PRELIMINARY data from the UK's Office of National Statistics (ONS) indicate that Brexit is hurting both UK and European Union's (EU) trade and investment.

    The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the disruption of customs paperwork have damaged trade on both sides of the Channel, the office said in a recent report.
