G-7 commits to health, economy, environment

Pledges include one billion Covid-19 vaccines for developing nations, a minimum tax rate, net zero by 2050

    THE Group of Seven (G-7) summit ended with several major promises made, but some sceptics doubt whether the group's leaders and their governments can fully deliver on their slew of commitments.

    At the end of their three-day stay in Cornwall in the UK, G-7 leaders from the US, UK, Germany, Japan, France, Italy and Canada issued a 25-page, 70-point communique that included a host of promises.
