German investor confidence drops on possible recession
ZEW index slides to minus 3.6 in October, the worst level in nearly two years

GERMAN investor confidence fell to the weakest level in almost two years in the latest sign that the economy is struggling to find its footing even as the European Central Bank (ECB) adds stimulus to the eurozone.
The ZEW Center for European Economic Research in Mannheim said its index of investor and analyst expectations, which aims to predict economic developments six months in advance, slid to minus 3.6 in October from 6.9 in September.
