AS businesses look to negotiate a world where the Covid-19 pandemic is under control and expansion plans are back on track, The Business Times is beefing up its offerings with a new portal called Global Enterprise.

Located at bt.sg/global, the portal will provide Singapore-based businesses that are looking to expand overseas with current news, expert insights, and up-to-date analysis.

The Business Times' editor Wong Wei Kong said: "We are expanding our coverage to take an in-depth look at the larger Asia-Pacific region."

Apart from featuring news and updates, Global Enterprise picks up on hot topics that businesses are keen to learn more about.

For instance, when will the travel bubble between Singapore and Hong Kong form? How will demand for office space in the Central Business District look as cities recover from the pandemic?

Also, what does the Group of Seven's decision to end new overseas coal funding for the Asia-Pacific mean for a region where coal remains a mainstay for power generation?

The portal also takes a deep dive into issues discussed on the world stage, such as the 15 per cent global minimum corporate tax system, to look at its potential impact for businesses.

"Some businesses have taken advantage of Covid-19 to better place themselves for future expansion. We aim to play a key role in their journey," said Mr Wong.

BT subscribers will enjoy full access to all content on Global Enterprise.
