China’s industrial profits fall 0.3% in January to February

[BEIJING] Profits at China’s industrial firms fell 0.3 per cent in the first two months from the same period last year, official data showed on Thursday.
The gain followed a 11 per cent rise in December and a 3.3 per cent decline for the whole of 2024, according to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data.
Industrial profit numbers cover firms with annual revenue of at least 20 million yuan (S$3.7 million) from their main operations. REUTERS
