AS the glamour glow from the Winter Olympics begins to fade, Beijing must now refocus on an economy which faces multiple challenges from rising unemployment, an ageing population to the ongoing pandemic and rivalry with the United States, which has been made more complicated with Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Feb 24.
Almost 5,000 political elite will gather for 7 to 10 days in Beijing from March 4 at an event informally known as the "two sessions", where plans for China's policies involving the economy, military, trade, diplomacy, the environment and more, are revealed.
