ASK Henri Giscard d’Estaing, Club Med’s chairman and chief executive officer, if he is worried about the competition as more hotel chains start to eye the all-inclusive model, and the Frenchman is nonchalant.
“We are the pioneer in this field (and) for a very long time, we were the only one. The good news is that now, more and more players are feeling that this is the best way to serve their clients. But it requires a lot of experience, which takes time and we have been around for 72 years,” he said on Monday (Jun 27).
He was speaking to The Business Times in an interview as part of his visit to Singapore to open Club Med’s new East, South Asia and Pacific office along Somerset Road.
