Government aware of other terrorist plans on S'pore

BESIDES the planned attack on Singapore from Batam, the government also received information on other terrorist plans targeting the Republic, and acted quietly to take precautions.

These included stepping up patrols and raising protection for major events and prominent places, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in the National Day Rally Speech on Sunday. Some events have also been shifted or rescheduled, he added.
