HISTORY was made on Thursday when Singapore's first female president, Halimah Yacob, attended her first National Day Parade (NDP) as head of state since she took office in September 2017.
She had previously been the reviewing officer of the NDP Preview for four years from 2013 to 2016 when she was the Speaker of Parliament.
