GREEK Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will convene his inner circle to plot the next move in the standoff with international creditors after another round of top-level talks failed to yield a breakthrough.

After meeting in Brussels with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who also heads the group of his euro-area counterparts, Mr Tsipras stuck to his position that any basis for an accord must be a Greek proposal. He said the plan should avoid the spending cuts and tax increases that creditors have drawn up in recent days.
