Hong Kong retail sales rise 1.1% in December
HONG Kong’s December retail sales rose 1.1 per cent from a year earlier as economic sentiment improved alongside with further relaxation of social distancing measures, government data showed on Friday (Feb 3).
Sales increased to HK$33.7 billion (S$5.6 billion). That compared with a revised 4.1 per cent decline in November.
In volume terms, retail sales decreased 0.7 per cent year on year in December. That compared with a revised 5.3 per cent decrease in November. REUTERS
