Hong Kong signs tax accord with US

    [HONG KONG] The Hong Kong government signed an agreement with the United States on Thursday that will compel financial institutions in Hong Kong to report information on accounts held by US citizens, residents and entitites to the US tax authorities.

    The agreement forms part of a broader global push by governments to pursue taxes of individuals that reside overseas.
