Hong Kong: Stocks start with big losses
HONG Kong stocks sank more than one per cent at the open Thursday, dragged by tech stocks and after minutes from the Federal Reserve latest meeting showed officials see a recession.
The Hang Seng Index shed 1.63 per cent, or 331.90 points, to 19,977.96.
The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.18 per cent, or 5.91 points, to 3,321.27, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange lost 0.29 per cent, or 6.30 points, to 2,140.86. AFP
