Hong Kong's pro-democracy group Scholarism dissolves
Hong Kong
HONG Kong pro-democracy group Scholarism has dissolved more than a year after the student group's protests against the government sparked the city's biggest challenge to Chinese rule since it was returned in 1997.
Scholarism, which was among the leaders of Hong Kong's Occupy Central movement in late 2014, was disbanded on Sunday, it said on its official Facebook page. Joshua Wong, the teenage co-founder and the most recognised face of the movement, will form a new political party in April.
