CHINA'S heightened regulatory scrutiny is stress testing investors' cardiovascular health, with dip buyers starting to lose their mettle even as others bravely stay the course on the belief that the changes are long-term positive.
Chinese stocks listed in the United States were hit by another strong wave of selling pressure at the start of the week as Beijing continued its crackdown on some of the nation's largest companies in technology and education. By mid-week, even dip buyers - hoping for a turnaround - were beginning to feel doubtful and frustrated with the unpredictability of regulatory intervention.
