[NEW DELHI] Authorities in India's smog-hit capital said Friday that private vehicles would only be allowed on the roads on alternate days starting from January.
"Particularly in winter, when the pollution is high, we will implement for some time odd and even number vehicles operation," said Delhi chief secretary KK Sharma after the state government met to discuss choking levels of pollution in the city.
