Indonesia central bank says will keep tight monetary policy stance
[JAKARTA] Indonesia's central bank will keep its tight monetary policy stance amid global uncertainty, its governor told reporters on Friday. "We remain vigilant on developments. The monetary policy will remain the same as is now," Governor Agus Martowardojo said.
Bank Indonesia has kept its key interest rate at 7.50 per cent since February.
On Thursday, Yoga Affandi, deputy director of economic research and monetary policy at Bank Indonesia, said the central bank should have room to loosen its monetary policy after the US Federal Reserve raises interest rates.
