Indonesia end-2016 inflation seen at 2.5%: chief economics minister
[JAKARTA] Indonesia's annual inflation may cool to 2.5 per cent by year-end, below the central bank's 3-5 per cent target range, coordinating minister for economics Darmin Nasution said on Wednesday.
"(The consumer price index) has increased by around 2.1-2.2 per cent year to date. So until year end (the index) looks like it wouldn't rise by 3 per cent, but it may increase by 2.5 per cent," Mr Darmin said.
Indonesia's annual inflation in October rose slightly more than expected to 3.31 per cent, the fastest in four months, but well below levels seen in 2015.
