Indonesia wants foreign investments to develop infrastructure: PM Lee

INDONESIA hopes that more foreign investors, including those from Singapore, will see the value of investing in South-east Asia's largest economy in the coming years.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who met Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Jakarta on Wednesday, noted that Indonesia was currently focused on attracting investments and developing its infrastructure. Speaking to the Singapore media after the bilateral meeting, Mr Lee said Mr Joko - six months into his first term as Indonesia's leader - had spoken about his country's need for critical infrastructure such as ports, roads, power stations and telecommunications.
