[JAKARTA] Indonesian consumers remained optimistic in December, a Bank Indonesia survey showed on Wednesday.
The central bank's consumer confidence index rose to 107.5 in December from 103.7 in November. A reading above 100 indicates consumers are optimistic.
Consumers were more upbeat about economic conditions and job availability in the next six months than they were a month earlier, the survey showed.
However, consumers also expected price pressures to increase in the first half of 2016.
Indonesia's annual inflation rate in December eased to 3.35 per cent from 4.89 per cent in November.
