[JAKARTA] Indonesia's economy is expected to have expanded at its weakest pace in five years in the final quarter of 2014, continuing a downtrend since the beginning of the year, a Reuters poll showed.
The poll forecast growth for October-December at 4.95 per cent, with all 17 economists predicting the pace would be slower than the prior three months, when gross domestic product (GDP) grew 5.01 per cent.
That would bring full-year 2014 expansion in Southeast Asia's largest economy to 5.07 per cent, compared with 5.78 per cent in 2013, the median forecast of analysts showed.
On a quarterly basis, GDP probably contracted 1.48 per cent in the fourth quarter against the third quarter.
All but one analyst saw economic growth picking up in 2015 to around 5.3 per cent.
