[JAKARTA] Indonesia's economy is expected to grow at more than 5 per cent in the fourth quarter, a central bank official said on Friday, adding that gross domestic product was expected to expand at an annual 4.9 per cent pace in Q3. "The economy has started to rebound," Juda Agung, Bank Indonesia's executive director of monetary and economic policy, told reporters.
In the second quarter, annual growth was 4.67 per cent, the lowest pace since 2009.
The central bank official also said the month-on-month inflation rate in September is expected to be around 0.06 per cent.
The government is expected to announce a second tranche of economic stimulus policies in the near future, he said.
