Internet breach at Mindef took place weeks before detection: Ong Ye Kung

FORENSIC investigations into the unprecedented breach of the Ministry of Defence's (Mindef) Internet system found that the hacking took place weeks before it was finally detected.

The modus operandi was also "consistent" with a covert attack, with means used to mask the perpetrator's actions and intent, said Second Defence Minister Ong Ye Kung in parliament on Monday.
