IT will not be possible for Singapore to choose between the United States and China, given the extensive ties the Republic has with both superpowers, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Sunday.
Many other countries are in a similar situation, he added in an interview with the BBC, saying they would be hard pressed if forced to pick a side.
