Japan business sentiment rises, buoyed by exports

BUSINESS sentiment among Japanese firms rose to its highest level since December 2015 during March of this year according to the Bank of Japan's (BOJ) latest tankan survey published on Monday, although the rise somewhat lagged market expectations.
The quarterly survey conducted by the central bank among some 10,800 firms across a wide spectrum of businesses of all sizes also suggested that sentiment is likely to deteriorate in the coming months, given uncertainties about the US and European economies.
