Japan jobless rate unchanged at 3.4%

    [TOKYO] Japan's jobless rate in September was unchanged from the previous month at 3.4 per cent, data from the internal affairs ministry showed on Friday.

    The median forecast was for 3.4 per cent.

    The jobs-applicants ratio rose to 1.24 in September from 1.23 in the previous month to reach the highest since January 1992.
