SHOCK, outrage and revulsion - both in Japan and internationally - greeted the news on Sunday morning that a second Japanese national, humanitarian journalist and father of two young children Kenji Goto (47), had been beheaded by Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militants who had held him hostage for months.
The political, security and even economic ramifications of Mr Goto's murder, which was revealed in a new online video posted by the media arm of ISIS on Sunday morning, are likely to reverberate strongly through Japan's "pacifist" nation and beyond, analysts said.
