Japan's Amari: Minimum wage hike important to economic growth

[TOKYO] Japanese Economics Minister Akira Amari said on Tuesday it was important to raise the minimum wage to contribute to the country's economic growth.
Mr Amari, speaking to reporters, added that an increase in the minimum wage may burden some small companies.
Japan's government is due to raise the minimum wage and encourage companies to increase salaries as part of a package of policies to bolster the economy.
