Japan’s July core machinery orders rise 5.3% m-o-m
JAPAN’S core machinery orders rose 5.3 per cent in July from the previous month, government data showed on Wednesday, stronger than a 0.8 per cent decline expected by economists in a Reuters poll.
Compared with a year earlier, core orders, a highly volatile data series regarded as a leading indicator of capital spending in the coming six to nine months, gained 12.8 per cent, the Cabinet Office data found. REUTERS
