    [TOKYO] Japan’s factory output rose 1.4 per cent in October from the previous month, better than the median market forecast for a 0.6 per cent fall, government data showed on Friday.

    Manufacturers surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry expect seasonally adjusted output to shrink 1.2 per cent in November and fall 2.0 per cent in December. REUTERS
