Japan's service sector sentiment rebounds in September
[TOKYO] Japan's service sector sentiment index rose 7.4 points to 42.1 in September, a Cabinet Office survey showed on Friday, recovering from a double-digit drop in the previous month as new Covid-19 cases decreased nationwide.
The index, which was at 34.7 in August, is based on a survey of workers such as taxi drivers, hotel workers and restaurant staff who are called "economy watchers" for their proximity to consumer and retail trends.
