Jakarta
INDONESIAN President Joko Widodo plans to spend more on the nation's outlying regions next year and will seek law-makers' approval to cut tax rates, betting that lifting incomes will help revive a slowing economy.
The Indonesian leader, popularly known as Jokowi, predicts gross domestic product (GDP) will increase 5.5 per cent next year and forecasts a stronger rupiah than current levels.
