Kuroda may outline BOJ's exit strategy from monetary easing
He hints it's time to explain "in an understandable way"why tapering is necessary for growth
Tokyo
THE Bank of Japan is thinking about announcing how it would conduct an exit strategy from its super-easy monetary policy, and what might be the implications of such a move for financial markets, BOJ governor Haruhiko Kuroda indicated on Wednesday.
Market players have been pressing the central bank to announce how it might exit from its quantitative and qualitative easing (QQE) policy launched in 2013 under which it aims to purchase 80 trillion yen a year of Japanese government bonds (JGBs) and other financial securities.
