Lower-income Singaporeans to receive GST vouchers
ABOUT 1.57 million eligible Singaporeans will be receiving notifications by mail or SMS on their GST vouchers and Medisave top-ups, said the Ministry of Finance in a press release.
These include a cash payment in August, a one-off special payment in November, and Medisave top-ups for the elderly in August.
The GST (Goods and Services Tax) Voucher is a permanent scheme introduced in the 2012 Budget to help lower-income Singaporeans. It also includes a utilities rebate for lower and middle-income households living in Housing Board flats.
