Macron needs parliamentary support to push for reforms

EMMANUEL Macron won in France's presidential election comfortably on Monday, but will have to work at garnering support in the National Assembly in order to carry out vital economic and labour reforms to regenerate the slack French economy.

The market's response to his victory was muted because the euro and French stock market had already priced in the win.
