Malaysia asked Interpol to locate Jho Low, but case now closed, says DPM
Kuala Lumpur
THE deputy prime minister of Malaysia said on Monday that the country had asked Interpol to help locate a Malaysian financier over a multi-billion dollar scandal at a state fund, but that it was now sure that there was no case against him.
The US Justice Department has alleged in civil lawsuits that about US$4.5 billion was misappropriated from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) by high-level officials of the fund and their associates.
