MALAYSIA has inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China on water resource cooperation which though indeterminate, has the potential to translate to more work for Chinese companies in the future given frequent water supply shortages and disruption. Bilateral relations are also at a near peak if not peak.

On Monday, Malaysia's Natural Resources Minister Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar signed the MOU with his Chinese counterpart Chen Lei in a brief ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.
